When Mom is away the Bow-Bow’s play….

For any of you who watch Diego you know THAT phrase !

Lately we have been calling the twins the bow-bow brothers -they  are always getting into mischief !

Last night they emerged with the bed boards ‘ wheeze skiing” …. and we all howled ! …… and then made them “ski “ right back upstairs to put them back :)

 

 

* TODAY Miss Grade 1 called down from the play room that I needed to “come quick and save a bugs life” :)

She just LOVES bugs!

While Super Mom saved the bug, and we watched him crawl back out the window and talked about how cool God’s imagination must be, to make so many different little bugs…….the “bow- bow’s” must have gotten…… hungry !

Uh Oh- follow the trail……

AT LEAST THEY BROUGHT BROOMS WITH THEM :)

What A HAM!

 

I have to say one thing…… b/c I choose to be thankful in these moments now …. they are a great team !!

We just have to teach them to use their powers for good and not evil …..te- he!

First specimen… a bee! Found dead in the window ledge.

None of our boys are as interested in BUGS as she is ! 

She reminds me of my OLDEST {so funny} friend who loved to pick and dissect things … while I turned green yes ~The beautiful Dr.Kelly Kasteel …whom our girl is named after :)- I think we nailed it !

OFF SHE ran to get her favorite books.

Here she is using her bug books  to compare the different types of bees…

I Love IT when they get excited about learning !

WHO will this spunky~ raspy voiced ~wild haired~ strong ~ loud and proud  ~ yet ever to sweet girl become ?

….what  joy it gives me to ponder on these things ……  

6 times over ! They are all so special !

HE Prints!!!!

Mr. Kindergarten has learnt to print the letters Tt – Ll – Hh & Ii -in kindergarten since we started his new program in January.

This is how his kindergarten set up looks. Along with his fun workbooks in his boxes he does each day.

Each week we do a new letter { Ii } that he learns to print with different activities and a new sight word {can}  the word for each number {four- 4} and a memory verse the letter Ii one is …” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens Me ” 

He is loving it !

 

 

I was so excited to find him at our chalkboard practicing printing his new letters last night  !

 

He was even practicing an O for someone …:)

 

Seriously!  I have the BEST job in the whole world !!!!

we found out

there were 2 !

At 34 weeks gestation …… we found out they were both boys….. well Dad did ~ Mom just knew :)

Happy New Year !!! ~ 2011 ~

 

WE are so very     THANKFUL !!!!

For ALL of you who supported our kids “Haiti Orphanage Fund Raiser “ over December !

……especially those of you who couldn’t resist the little artist and who were ever soooo generous !

Miss. Grade 1 sold four pieces of her art work and raised $32 dollars for the orphanage!!!

 

Mr. Grade 4 is still completing his portion of the  fundraiser by picking up Christmas trees  with his 2 -toonie fundraiser !

Miss. Grade 8 raised over $170 dollars with all your generous donations to her first year of Christmas Baking  ( and oh what a learning experience IT was ; )

~Don’t worry ~She had lots of support in the taste testing department…yum!  { those peppermint brownies were everyone's favorite }

 

What a BLESSING it was to see them excited about being able to GIVE and serve others !! It became contagious … to the point that they all wanted to be part of it ( and mom and dad had to come up with some new creative ideas )

None of it would have worked though… without all you faithful “ABBEY CHEERLEADERS”

Your support and encouragement for the kids have been the true gift to our family this Christmas ~ and for that …Mike and I are truly thankful….
