THE NOORDAMS ARE HOME !!

Our long lost best friends have returned home to us from Grande Prairie…to stay !

We are soo excited ! …..SOO excited that last few times they came to visit we forgot to take pictures…..way too busy talking !!!!

If my dear hubby and I kick the bucket these two have been willed to get our 6 kids!! …AND we get their 3 !

That is how good of friends they are !! The brave souls!

We have a lOOONNNNG history!!! Too long to list all the best memories…. but they are some of the most wonderful memories two sets of friends could have….. and we are soo looking forward to making more and more and more!

 

This is my god- daughter Grace…Isn’t she SO sweet !

And here is my god-son Rylan… I LOVE those cheeks ! 

Baby Joey was with his MOM for the day moving into their new house… his cheeks are even bigger:)

 

As you can see they were ALL busy busy playing tea party…and eating…..much too busy to let Auntie Christy take any “non moving” pictures !

 

OH WELL ! THERE WILL BE MANY” NEXT TIMES” NOW ! YIIIIIPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEE !

WELCOME FALL !

Oh how I love the fall ..it is my favorite time of the year!

 

I love the bright “mums” in my urns!

I love the smells !

I love the sky !

I love the colors!

I love the leaves !

I love taking pictures of my kids in wooly sweaters and hats ! 

I love going to the same the pumpkin patch every year in October !

And walking through the Fort Langley stores on a Sunday afternoon in November !

 

The summer is done…. we have given our all to enjoy and make memories with the kids during it !

The first of the upcoming birthday season at our house is complete (all the kids are fall & winter b-days) 

School is in ….the new schedule is up and running…. my craziest time of the year is calming down…..

Mike’s year end is over … and now we are both exhausted !!

  I especially love the fall because the love of my life loves me too …and likes to wisk me away every year so we can enjoy it together….Alone!!

Last year we ran away -alone- to California ! The year before was Boston ! This Year Whistler !

This year is closer to home and a bit trickier with homeschooling the kids and the fact that our nanny April is in school full time now !

(NO one else is tough enough to take on this crew for more that two days! )

But my B.R.A.V.E SUPER mother – in - law has come to our rescue and has ever so graciously volunteered to take ALL the kids for a weekend in the evenings and overnights !…..OH bless her !!!! and our sweet babysitter  is taking the day shifts!

TIME to reboot …..sleep in ……walk down pathways… holding –only- each others hands ! … snuggle at Starbucks as we sit still for… well as long as WE choose! ….talk until we run out of things to say …uninterrupted!! ….. watch other people go about their lives  ( usually it is us that is being watched by others –he-he )

….ahhhh yes we can’t wait to get there !

The many outfits of a grade one… a special tribute!! To our birthday girl!!

We have birthday MONTHS at our house !

SO here is a tribute to the birthday of this month ..I am sure she will get a chuckle out of it in a few years :)

IT never fails to amaze me how kids put together outfits! ….is it comfort …color…or just to bug your mom !?

I KNOW when I leave the store I have perfectly coordinated EVERYTHING outfits ….especially when it comes to my baby girl…how is it then ??? that she can never find all the pieces to put them on …at the same time…hehehe:)

I have to say me and my pride ( ah hem ) LOVE the freedom of being home all day with the kids b/c we don’t see anyone and thus I don’t really have to care ( as long as we have clean clothes teeth hair brushed ) what she comes down looking like each day …..in fact now it is just stink in’ cute !

…..SEE…hhehe

And all in only the month of September !

They say it is good for kids to be able to make their own choices ….?

This one isn’t too bad:)

I think it is just the month of September b/c she has winter and summer clothes in her closet ???

Here we have swimming lesson attire..with boots :)

Leggings are purple at least ..even if they have green on them

I love this little picture ..even if the outfit is coordinated (with the same color leggings )~ she has to put on a head band !

 

ahh me the hair depot is a new addition to the arrangements…. complete with crown and hair accessories clipped onto the bottom of shirts too now!

      WOW MY BABY GIRL IS 6 NOW !

 

She requested” Princess Leah” buns for the day

 

 

We had a wonderful day with our most colorful girl on her  “Mom Dad & me ONLY” ~ birthday date:)

She had planned last year after her 5th b-day… to go to the Aquarium for her 6th b-day. At last the day was here! …..of course it had to be on a day when daddy wasn’t working ..so we celebrated it two days early this year.

 

She was so excited to go to the bug exhibit she ran through the lobby!

 

Then remembered her ma and pa  and came back to drag us with her:)

 

The new 4d movie theatre …before it started)

… she decide she DID NOT LIKE THE 4th DEMENTION and wanted to get out of there right in the middle of the movie!

( We stayed though and she made it through:)

 

Two of her favorite parts were

 

Touching the Sea Urchins in the tide pools

 

AND Watching the Beluga Wale show

She is her Daddy’s kitten

She was thrilled when one of them swam by her in the underground  viewing area !

( it is always amazing to me too)

 

After a quick hike on one of the Trails in Stanley Park  for our science unit this week.

 

So little still :)

 

She noticed how the raindrops were sitting on the leaves and asked me to take a picture.

 

She is inside an old tree

 

We were off to White Spot for a Pirate pack!

And some birthday dessert!

 

 

Oh soo full! She gave up!

 

Have a nice nap baby girl!

 

I am so blessed  my oldest daughter  loves to bake!!

She made the b-day cupcakes for our littlest princess this year as her gift!

 

After dinner the “grand folks” in our lives came on over to help eat the cupcakes :)

and hear the stories from the adventures of our day!

OUR LITTLE NURSE

The “quarantine” fort she made for him in the kitchen (his twin kept sitting on him)

All he has to do is “peep” and she is in there to cover him…smooch him… get whatever he needs..what a little mommy! …..she is playing him songs on the piano now as I write this …:)

OUR FIRST TRIP TO THE APPLE BARN!!

We had soo much fun exploring the APPLE BARN in ABBOTSFORD ! …it is so NICE that the twins are old enough now to be able to do family things like this again!

I love this Pumpkin!!!

 

It was a beautiful farm !…We dream of LIVING ON LAND SOMEDAY!!

The perfect tot size apple!

 

We picked it right off the tree thanks to dads big shoulders!

Love this tree~ it reminds me of something my dad would make:)

Mr. Grade 4 loved it!

But it was really loud ..the little guys didn’t like it.
