Ample Abbeys: And now …………….they are !!!

Here they come from being woken up to us singing Happy Birthday,,,,they have a new- big boy- birthday trundle bed ….in their own new brother bedroom!

{ with their “bun- buns” and their new big boy hair cuts }

{ they have been on mattresses on the floor for over 2 years for safety and in with the bigger boys – for supervision! }

…. with the trundle bed… I won’t have to miss finding them covered up on the same mattress playing cars at quiet time !!

Mike said to one of them…

if NOW it is his birthday ?

“ You are four NOW “ and he stood up looked in the window reflection and said “I am very tall ! “

I looked at Mike on Saturday as we secretly watched one twin try to push the other twin up and through the “ pass through “ window from the dining room into the kitchen … {cheeky boys :)

and said “ I would do twins again… knowing all THAT work would get us here “ !!

THESE 2 are SOOOO funny!!

One is an old man at heart… the other is a rock star …one serious …the other funny …every stage is bigger than life- with two going through it ..the laughter is louder … the joy is bigger….the funny things they say are soo soo much fun to write down b/c it is just non stop…

for Example!

One of them told their Nanu santa was in hell..!!

I guess if he is not in the nativity for Christmas he is a bad guy?! …need to talk more about that good St. nik :)

The other one told me God wanted him to go to Chucky Cheese :)

And this one tops them all ….to my mother in law “ Nanu …you have stripes on your neck ..that jiggle !!!

EEEK -bless her heart !! SHE HAS A SENSE OF HUMOR!!!

The lessons are fast…the mistakes are bigger…and the mischief …..OH THE MISCHIEF THEY CAN GET INTO !!!…Ask me if you have not heard the brie cheese and cinnamon story from this Summer ! THE TOYS >>>> !! THE MESS ….!!! IS it just that they are number 5 and 6 and watch everything everyone else is doing and try to copy it ?!

One night this Fall during family devotions one of the twins disappeared …usually to go potty…so we thought nothing of it >>>>>UNTIL we smelt smoke !!!!! And went running and then we SAW……

LOTS OF BLACK THICK SMOKE!!!!!

What is it you ask ?

Why he was just heating up his biscuit ..for 2 hrs !!

And SO the lesson on not using the microwave was introduced !

Seriously though --I have been so careful with these guys We get mocked for how dull our knives are and the fact they are up in a high cupboard and constantly questioned as to why they have no beds !! I have talked about the toaster knives scissors cleaning solutions …baths -hot water …..the stove ..the fridge & freezer…the hot oven ..the stove top…the washing machine AND dryer …and the garbage cans..including very carefully plastic bags ---but !!! the microwave- I must have missed… :)
