In Grade 3…..

The Little Miss starts HER day off…

Onto school books !
She begins her day with a prompted journal entry.

She has a little pink bucket full of Life is Good Journal Prompts

from Teachers Pay Teachers that she can choose from.

On the other page she writes out a memory verse .

{ This is the verse for the month that ALL of our family is working on- lol }
She has a small calendar now, compared to the little boys!



and just transfers the days information into her

In Miss Gr. 3’s tower,

Bucket number One is A Reason For Handwriting.

 

Then onto Grade 3 Hard Drive lessons from Bob Jones.



The Second Bucket in her work tower is
Bob Jones Bible.

In Unit One Part One She is learning about Sin and Salvation. Her memory verse is Gen 2:7.
She is transferring over her new handwriting skills here!
Then it is Outside Time…..

She made a paper kite with plastic straws

and is trying to get it to fly behind her bike :)

We review our Provinces and Country and Continents

Review the Put On Chart from Doorposts

We are putting on the Hat of Humility this month.
When she is done her lunch chores she can dress up her “Put on Doll”

The we all read our Character Trails book and go over our Quality of the week that we are working on.

Then it is her turn to Practice Piano.


She composed her own song in October!! Her teacher Miss. Hannah wrote out the notes on music sheets for her and all:) …..but then she took it home with her !

The third bucket is Bob Jones English



Where she is working on Unit One and reviewing Sentences.

The fourth bucket is Bob Jones Handwriting

Where she is learning how to write the alphabet in cursive.

The fifth bucket is Bob Jones Heritage Studies where we have been busy dying paper told with tea bags to make her own Constitution.



Bucket Number six is Bob Jones Math
Here she is working on Quarter to and Quarter after review with pirates { I think she was saying arrr here? }


She has a drawer in her little desk with a few file folder games she is allowed to take out and work in if she is waiting for me or she is having a “brain overload” and needs a break.

Bucket Number nine is Bob Jones Spelling
She does a pretest Monday practice Wed and final test Friday. Along with lessons each day of the week.


Bucket Number 10 is Berry Stebbings Art  that we do only on Fridays. Friday is our light day for catch up cleaning , baking , and fine art.



Bucket Number 11 is  Health we do only on Fridays as well

 
{ Bucket number 12 has Bob Jones Spanish in it but we have not started on that yet.}
AND my favorite part of Friday is our music lessons in the morning!!
Where Miss. Grade 3 & Mr. Grade 1 have started violin lessons along with piano this year.
