Phonics -Blends e oad oat ee eat ay ail ain ide ike completed to page 260. Only has one more chapter until he has finished this Phonics workbook .
Novel Study -Days go by pages 36-41 most of these focused on putting the story in order & true or false Questions.
This was his favorite to think about if HIS mother would like what had happened in the story:)
Independent Reading -Noodle the dog novel 88 pages long.
This was funny …I caught them reading them same book one evening !
Math u see - lessons 28 time 29 &30 introduced subtraction.-he has finished his Primer math book 362 pages .
We read all moms favorite L.O.V.E books this week and talked about how wonderful it is to belong to a family!
It seems I can’t find enough things for this boy to do !
On the other hand it has been a tough year for Miss Grade 3 switching from having me teach all her subjects to doing almost all of them on the computer. We are in the middle of our year and I am going to switch some things up….back to more interaction with me is how she seems to do the best….it is how she had always done the best she is quite a gal xo!
With this being a three day short week I thought I would spend it on testing before I move her into her new math book.
Miss Grade 3 worked on
Math she did testing in the Beta level math book to make sure she has no holes in learning with Bob Jones this far. We are switching from Bob Jones to Math u See for -the gamma level book -which focuses only on multiplication for the entire level.
We had lots of brain break activities for her during alllll that math testing
I found thee great new journal prompts on Teachers Pay Teachers and it is as If She has JUST discovered writing ..she asked to do two entries most days that were two pages or more -with pictures !
SOOOOOO /// I ALSO made the decision to switch ..eeek ! ..panic attack !! from our Bob Jones Spelling 3 to All about Spelling this week.
Both my girls have a tough time with spelling ..not reading though?! Seems so strange to me …With our oldest she was in a traditional school until grade 4 and though I knew her spelling wasn't catching up to her grade level I didn't know w how to help her I am a horrible seller too !! I feel the same all of a sudden here with my little Miss and I don’t want to miss an open window to turn it around if we can ….
BIG step for me to leave BJ and add things in with all the kids ….but here we go !
I think I will have the older sister teach the younger one.. see if she can pick up some skills she missed?? …then they can both teach me ! HA
