Novel Study:
These Are My People , Chapters 3-8
It is hard for this kid not to gobble up her novel studies, she would work on this all day if I let her.
Story line before and after ordering
Math:
Renaming ones tens and hundreds subtracting and adding with renaming checking your subtraction with addition…OH this week was painful for both the student and her mom ! Lots of corrections ! She go the hang of the regrouping but made so many errors in her addition and subtraction…we moved very slow but finished the chapter very slowly…………………..lol the sweet girl persevered!
Mr. Kindergarten worked on….
Character Quality: Courage
Learning about Daniel in the lions den, and how how had to use courage to stand for righteousness against King Darius.
Independent Reading:
Book of the week: “Bandit” 84 pg. long.
Building sentences.
Three word puzzles
Double up math match game with big sis
Line up game ..he has mastered it now:)
Geography:
States this week Florida, Louisiana, & Gulf of Mexico
Printing:
I love seeing his printing change every month!
Phonics:
this week were ch –sh- th- wh- pl- n-g ing- ump- nk- & Chapter review in all pages 193-218.
Novel Study:
Days Go By- had him looking up pages / chapters to find the answers
Lesson on paragraphs -then looking up answers on pages in specific paragraphs- this was a bit of a challenge to him… so he devoured it !
